Nicholas Wilz is the founder of Heartland Wealth Partners, bringing more than a decade of experience across banking, insurance, and comprehensive financial planning. His career began in community banking, where he learned the importance of clear communication, trust, and meeting people where they are. From there, he moved into insurance and eventually became an agency owner with Farm Bureau Financial Services, working closely with farm families, small businesses, and rural households across Northeast Iowa.
Those years shaped his understanding of real‑world financial decision‑making — cash flow, debt structure, land and equipment choices, protection planning, and long‑term goals that don’t fit neatly into a spreadsheet. He later expanded into full financial planning and investment guidance, earning his Series 7 and Series 65 registrations as well as insurance licenses making it a true one stop experience from someone with firsthand experience..
Nicholas also leads education and outreach for LOSAP programs supporting volunteer fire departments, helping departments and participants understand their benefits and make confident decisions.
Heartland Wealth Partners is the culmination of that journey — a firm built on clarity, calm, and genuine care for the people and communities he serves. Nicholas created Heartland to offer planning‑first guidance, real conversations, and long‑term partnership for individuals, families, agricultural clients, and local organizations throughout Northeast Iowa.
